Congratulations for clicking on this post. You’re now about to receive 30 brilliant television shows to keep you entertained throughout this festive season. Okay? Okay.
The thing I hate about the concept of Netflix and Chill is that it interrupts Netflix. You know?
I mean, it’s not Football and Chill, or WWE and Chill is it? No, it’s all my . . . well, okay so maybe after two years of avid binge streaming Netflix’s selection doesn’t seem exactly great anymore, but whose fault is that?
Netflix’s. Seriously, fix up. How do you not have Fresh Prince yet?
This is all beside the point. When it’s Netflix and Chill you’re interrupting my brilliant TV shows to force human interaction on me. Yeah . . . I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that, but I can guarantee it’s not overwhelmingly positive.
With the return of the bitingly cold British weather we’re all so fond of, we’re all enjoying what I like to refer to as “hibernation season”. The period of the year where my friends can’t moan at me for not wanting to get up and socialise. God, I’ve been looking forward to this.
What does this mean? This means that we’re all going to be stuck inside – and watching TV. Which sounds amazing in theory, but then you realise that you’ve watched all your favourite TV shows and suddenly that elation turns to fear. What if . . . what if you have to succumb to peer pressure and tackle the years’ worth of Breaking Bad? I mean, you know it’s going to be amazing but there’s just so much of it and you just know you don’t have the time . . .
Don’t worry, kids. I have your back. Here are some of my favourite binge-worthy TV shows that you need to lay wrapped up in your warm duvet with hot chocolate with and watch all day. Other humans optional, but not entirely recommended.
(By the way, I have a strong affinity to comedy – offensive comedy, dark comedy, just plain funny comedy, so be warned.)
- Being Human
- Everybody Hates Chris
- Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
- How I Met Your Mother
- Orphan Black
- The Mindy Project
- How To Get Away With Murder
- Marvel’s Agents Of Shield
- Prison Break
- Mr Robot
- Sons Of Anarchy
- IT Crowd
- South Park
- Top Gear
- Never Mind The Buzzcocks
- Adventure Time
- Arrested Development
- Russel Howard’s Good News
- House Of Cards
And there we have it! I hope you found some good new TV shows to watch – and will someone please be shell-shocked, in awe and absolutely heart-broken over How To Get Away With Murder’s Mid-Season finale please? My head can’t take the surprise and my heart can’t take the pain.
Let me know what your favourite shows are – and if any of them have popped up on this list!
All the love,
