May – Goals Progress & Retargeting (ft. More Stationery Porn)

Well, hey you crazy kids – we’re now officially in June. How terrifiying.

You guys seemed to enjoy my Setting Goals For The Next Three Months post, so I thought that at the end of every month I would do a little Progress Report to hold me accountable and share how my progress is going! (And, y’know, this kind of forces me to actually do things in order to have things to write about.) (Also, this gives me the chance to create cool flatlays with stationery and various other accessories in the background.)

Okay, now, you’re going to have to forgive me on this one; I feel a bit like I only actually did anything worthwhile in the last few weeks of May. This list might be a bit on the short side.

Hopefully, June’s progress report will be bursting with met goals and exciting things. I literally just came back from Lisbon – and I have a festival on Thursday, then Milan on Monday so June is due to be amazing.

Also, incredibly expensive.

My bank account cries; my heart screams with gleeful anticipation. I also the very strong urge to write poetry about my current identity crisis.

But what did I do last month? Well . . . Let’s take a look!

  • I actually did my food shopping. This might sound stupid, but this saves me a lot of money in the long run – and it majorly helps with my healthy eating. For example, I would buy two or three pots of fruit a day at work (2 before work to eat throughout the morning, one at lunch); these are around £2 each so that was £4-6 per day on fruit. However, you can buy a 1.5kgs of frozen fruit from Tescos for £1 (if you get the “imperfect berries”, which is a mix of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries etc. that aren’t visually perfect – which really doesn’t matter to me) – and then all the frozen smoothie mixes are like £2 each and those are each a few days worth of smoothies. So for the cost of one day’s worth of fruit I can buy a couple of week’s worth of frozen fruit.
  • Started eating breakfast! This ties into the first point a little – I’m getting my life together, guys! With buying food, you then have to get up early and prepare it. This gives me time to actually eat breakfast in the morning – which scientists seem to agree is good for you. And who am I to argue with science?
  • Started making smoothies again.
  • Started drinking lemon water daily. This is something I’m constantly being told is amazing for your body – having a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning.
  • Drinking green tea again!
  • Bought a manifestations journal – and I’ve actually used it!

I really want to write a detailed post on manifestations, what they are and how to use them, but the gist of it is that manifestations are when you almost wish things that you want into existence. It coincides with the law of attraction and how you need to open yourself up to opportunities from the universe. Also – how cute is that notebook? Huh?
  • Improved my site-speed to around 3 seconds (currently 2.96s). This is a constant work in progress, but it’s much faster than before when sometimes my site would hover at around 7 seconds loading time.
  • Set up my Etsy store and got up some listings! I’m going to do an entire post about Etsy and sharing all of that with you, but just so everyone’s up to date – I’ve actually set one up! Although it’s slightly unfortunate that my one Etsy review is negative and from years ago when I was like 15 reading “How To Make Money Online” posts and thinking I could drop-ship, but you live and you learn. At the moment, I only have 9 listings up – but I’m slowly getting more and more ready and out there.

    Etsy store link.
  • I HAVE LISTINGS UP ON AMAZON! This one I’m still learning because Amazon is way more complicated than Etsy, but how exciting is that? My Amazon is for things like enamel pins and patches, while my Etsy is for the things that I customise and create using these things (and others). So far I’m trying to figure out Amazon’s difficult interface and jumping through all the hoops, so I only have two listings up – but feel free to check them out!

  • I have also been a social girl, go me! I have been up to a lot recently – and I’ve been finding my work/life balance. My friends have actually seen me, I’ve been out and done fun shit . . . it’s good times!
  • Got a bonus at work – $$!

  • I finally wrote a DIY post!

Okay, this was just a quick little post because I have to:

a. Unpack

b. Pack

c. Catch up on some blogs

d. Write up some posts (we have an SEO Blogging 101 post on Wednesday; I actually sat down and talked to an SEO expert at work so I have loads of inside info to share with everyone! Exciting shit, guys!)

Alright – let me know your thoughts below? Have you been tracking of all of your goals? Are you up to date?

All the love,

Mia x
